Guide to transitioning to a new food
A seven-day gradual transition plan mindful of your cat's digestive routine.

Seven-day transition plan
For the first two days, add the new food as about a quarter of the meal. On days three and four, mix the two foods in equal proportions. On days five and six, increase the Merry ratio to three-quarters; on day seven, switch to the new food.
Keep each portion within the cat's total daily amount. Adding full portions of both foods together unnecessarily increases the daily quantity.
Monitor your cat's response
Track changes in appetite, stool regularity, and water consumption. Mild pickiness can be observed during the first days of transition; if noticeable digestive upset, vomiting, or loss of appetite occurs, stop the transition and consult your veterinarian.
- Serve the food at the same times every day.
- Keep fresh drinking water accessible.
- Store opened wet food according to packaging instructions.
